FOH Runner/Busser

Responsible for delivering the very best Central Coast Brewing Company has to offer, the Front of House team is critical to our success. Each member of this team is warm, friendly, confident, and brings professionalism to the role. FOH team members need to have a keen interest in and knowledge of craft beer (locally and otherwise), and will be eager to grow within the team. What you will do:

  • Be a core team member in our high energy, bold concept, scratch restaurant

  • Recognize & greet every guest as they walk in the door.

  • Know the menu inside and out

  • Engage with guests as they make food and beverage decisions

  • Enter orders, deliver food and beverages, process payments

  • Create and nurture a fun, family-style work environment

  • Uphold our high sanitation and safety standards

  • Continually clean & bus tables, creating a clean environment for every customer

  • Help with Kitchen and dish duties

PART-TIME: 15-25 hours/week

Dishwasher

A dishwasher is someone who works in a professional kitchen and handles the washing of the dishes, utensils, glasses, and other things used by customers.

They also clean the pots, pans, and other equipment that chefs and other kitchen workers use on a daily basis. Dishwashers may also be asked to do light prep work when needed.

Dishwasher Job Duties:

  • Handle the regular cleaning of dishes, utensils, cookware, and other things that come through the kitchen.

  • Perform light cleaning around the kitchen based on posted or described steps.

  • Maintain a positive attitude when working with different groups of people.

  • Keep on track during busy hours to ensure that co-workers and customers have the equipment they need.

  • Assist with light prep work during busier shifts.

  • Wipe down any wet spots during shifts to keep the floor safe for workers.

  • Set up and take down the dishwasher before beginning a shift and at the end of a shift.

  • Remove clean dishes and move those dishes to the proper spots in the kitchen.

  • Check the cleanliness of each dish.

  • Carry heavy racks filled with dishes to and from the kitchen.

  • Assist with food prep

Dishwasher Job Essential Skills:

Dishwashers must be in good physical shape because they transport large racks and heavy dishes all across the kitchen.

Professional kitchens are quite loud and house a large number of people. Dishwashers and other people working in those kitchens must have strong communication skills and the ability to talk to other workers.

Stamina is a must-have in the dishwasher job description because they often work shifts of six to eight hours or longer, and spend those shifts on their feet without many breaks.

 

FULL-TIME

Beer Server

Beer Servers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of our tasting room, including serving beer, selling merchandise, maintaining the physical space, and constructively interacting with customers, co-workers and managers. Beer servers are the face of the company. It is their job to represent Central Coast Brewing, and our beer in the most positive and informative way possible, while providing an outstanding service experience for every person who walks in our door. Beer Servers must be efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic, with the ability to answer a wide range of questions on brewing, our beer and the company. Candidates must share Central Coast Brewing’s commitments to quality, safety, business ethics and continuous innovation.

Beer Server Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all ABC rules & regulations.

  • Great every Customer as they walk in the door.

  • Always have a positive attitude.

  • Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons.

  • Serve Central Coast Beers with minimal waste.  

  • Fill and sell growler/crowler orders.  

  • Be knowledgeable about CCB beer, and the brewing process to share with customers. (Also, be able to discuss the elements of craft beer to patrons)

  • Be willing to be trained on the art and science of craft brewing. 

  • Record drink orders accurately and immediately into the Point of Sale system. 

  • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change, if applicable.  

  • Clean bar area and glassware. Wash and sterilize glassware.  

  • Clear, clean and reset tables.  

  • Run food when needed.

  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas. 

  • Restock and replenishment of inventory and supplies. (advise manager when stock is low)

  • Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to manager. 

  • Be familiar with CCB promotions, sales and assist with special events. 

  • Complete all opening and closing tasks.  

  • Demonstrate the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner. 

Beer Server Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 

  • Must be 21yrs or Older

  • Have Knowledge of craft beer. Including styles, draft knowledge, glassware & pouring

  • Completion of the Level One Cicerone Certification

  • Completion of LEAD training Certificate

  • Problem-solving, and customer service skills.

  • Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to walk, stand, and carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
